Here at Mowbray’s, we maintain a safety program conforming to the industry’s best management practices including federal, state, local, OSHA, CAL-OSHA, and ANSI standards. Our safety program’s success embodies the proper attitudes toward injury and illness prevention for all levels of employees.
The safety of every employee is always Mowbray’s number one priority! Senior management accepts responsibility for providing a safe working environment and employees are expected to take responsibility for performing work in accordance with safe work practices. All our new hires go through a safety orientation, and we have a weekly safety meeting where we distribute materials throughout the company.
Members of our safety department’s leadership sit on the revision board of ANSI Z133, the safety requirements for arboricultural operations.

Our entire management and supervisory team’s responsibility is to possess the desire to lead by example by setting the expectations and be held accountable for supporting all safety initiatives.
Mowbray’s recognizes that our employees have made us who we are, they are our most vital resource. Each person believes they are responsible and accountable for their own safety and has a duty to protect the safety of others throughout the organization by promoting a positive workplace attitude. Our Safety Observation Program is a group of dedicated individuals serving our team members in action. This group makes sure work is living up to expectations, checks safety, and makes sure problems are addressed immediately.

In Action!
Safety training is a continuous process. Our training programs include the use and care of personal protective equipment (PPE), the proper use of tools and equipment, working in at-risk conditions, Electrical Hazard Awareness Training (EHAP), proper housekeeping, and company safe work practices. Our success is based on a foundation established through team building, hazard recognition, communication, mentoring, and safety and health training.
